CRISTI M. MATTIAS is an educational specialist licensed in Oregon. She has 20 years of experience as a Pre-K to 8 classroom teacher, early childhood specialist, literacy and reading specialist, school and program administrator, university fixed term and adjunct professor, and educational consultant.

With local, national, and international education experience, Cristi brings her knowledge of best educational practices to the television viewer. Formerly as the Dream Team's Education Editor for KPTV Channel 12's MORE Good Day Oregon, Cristi now is the Education Correspondent for the nationally syndicated BETTER.tv. When on camera, she works to serve children and families by harnessing her passion for educational equity and social justice. She shares practical and educationally sound tips and ideas with viewers about how education helps children and adults succeed in school and in life.

Cristi’s doctoral work focuses on Educational Reform emphasizing Cultural Competence, Social Justice and Technology Integration.
