CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING Alaska, Washington, Oregon Organization: A private, non-profit corporation headquartered in Portland, Oregon, works to improve educational results by providing research-based products, technical assistance, and training to improve educational systems and learning. This organization works directly with educators in the field to develop and test research-based publications and strategies that improve learners' results.
Cristi collaborated with Project staff to provide professional development support for three Regional Institutes delivered in Alaska, Washington and Oregon. This included curriculum development, customized program delivery, and co-facilitation of 3 Mathematical Institutes for K-2 teachers. The Institutes focus was on presenting mathematical strategies for teachers exploring number sense and algebraic reasoning, child development and appropriate instructional strategies and reflective practices.
